    Heart Happy

I LOVE this Heart Happy Kit by Close To My Heart! The color palette makes my heart swoon. The way they balanced out the bold Raspberry and soft Ballerina pink with the deep Sapphire blue and fun shade of Mint is just perfect. I’ve had these two pictures of my grandparents for a while now patiently waiting to be inspired to scrapbook them. I’m glad I waited because I think this layout came together perfectly. This kit is available through February while supplies last so grab your kit here!

This layout is of my younger son. We had a flat tire on the horse trailer and he was so eager to come to my rescue. The title, “Do Small Things with Great Love” I cut from the cut-apart-sheet. I thought it explained the moment perfectly! Its often the little things we do for others that have the most impact. I really like how I was able to create a page suitable for a boy with this Valentine themed kit.

These two layouts display some snapshots of my husband and I. Sometimes you have a solitary photo that isn’t part of some grand vacation or event, but you love the picture. I enjoy scrapbooking a single photo page. It gives you more room to play with all the fun patterned papers and embellishments or plenty of room for journaling the story.

Last but not least I created these fun cards utilizing the leftovers. So seldom do people send out cards these days but when I drop a handmade note in the mail I believe it is warmly received. To make these cards I layered up the scraps and incorporated stickers and embellishments from the cut-apart-sheet. The “Thank You” and “Love You” expressions are from January’s stamp of the month, Card Captions.

    I Heart Us

Hello! I’ve been having a ton of fun with the “I Heart Us” paper pack. This kit is rich in versatile colors and fun floral and heart shaped embellishments. At first glance it appears slightly feminine but when you look further you can see so many layout options! Above I scrapbooked some pictures of my mom on our annual trip to Half Moon Bay. We filled our car up with plants and flowers to spruce up our yards and kick off the summer season. The colors and embellishments in this kit were perfect for telling this story!

Here I was able to create two single page layouts of my boys just being boys. I love the way the canary yellow paper screams summertime in this “Hello Sunshine” page. I cut the title on my cricut machine and added a few stamped embellishments from my stash to pull it all together.

I love the way all the patterns work together to create a visually appealing display. The bright blues and yellows work perfectly to compliment the picture of my son, while the same kit was used to create the double page layout below. You can see how surprisingly versatile everything is!

Last but not least I utilized the leftover scraps to whip up these fun birthday cards. I created the cupcake with the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and topped everything off with the fun sparkly sequins included in the kit. I was able to create all these projects with one kit by adding a sheet of Lagoon and white card stock from my stash!

    January Stamp Of The Month

The Card Captions stamp has sentiments for so many occasions! I like to have cards on hand ready to go. After scrapbooking a layout I will utilize the scraps and whip up a few cards. I leave them blank so whenever the need arises, I can grab one, stamp with the appropriate card sentiment and brighten someone’s day. This versatile stamp set is on special through the month of January. You can purchase it for $5 with a qualifying order of $50. Happy Stamping!
